Smoothness of Dimming

This lamp and ballast combination was capable of dimming below 1% of maximum output however at this level some lamps would turn off while others remained off. When all lights are illuminated there is no flicker at any output level and 50Hz strobe was observed. The dimming profile is relatively linear with no big steps in the output range. However when used with leading edge there are small steps that make the lamp appear to be flickering while fading.

Audible Noise

No audible noise with trailing edge. Significant buzz with leading edge.
