Smoothness of Dimming

When tested with trailing edge dimmers no static flicker or significant shimmer while fading between levels was observed at any point in the output range. With leading edge dimmers no static flicker was observed although some shimmer could be seen when fading between levels. While the profile had no large steps or jumps it was heavily grouped towards the bottom end of the dimmers output range and a very slight step could be seen when approaching maximum output.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when used with trailing edge dimmers. Significant buzzing noise when used with leading edge dimmers.

Notes

A rating of "very good" is given despite this driver only dimming down to, at most, 5% of maximum output as this is unusually low for 24V constant voltage (tape) drivers.
