Smoothness of Dimming

When tested with trailing edge dimmers this lamp performed reasonably well. No static flicker was observed at any output level although a significant shimmer while fading (small steps) was visible throughout the output range. This problem was more obvious towards the bottom of the dimming range. While the dimming profile was well spread across the output range a large step was visible at approx. 20% of maximum output.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when tested with a recommended dimmer.

Notes

Not recommended for use with leading edge dimmers: lamp does not turn off.
