Smoothness of Dimming

With trailing edge dimmers the visual performance was excellent. No static flicker could be seen at any output level and the lamps did not appear to shimmer while fading between levels. The profile was generally smooth with a slight step as the lamp approached maximum output. With leading dimmers, a significant shimmer could be seen while fading and the dimming profile was considerably less smooth.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when used with trailing edge dimmers. Significant buzz with leading edge dimmers.
