Smoothness of Dimming

The all round dimming performance of this lamp is very good with all lamps dimming to below 1% of maximum output. There is no flickering at any output level although some 50Hz strobe is observed. The dimming profile was consistent with no significant steps observed when dimming up or down. Performance was similar when used with both leading and trailing edge dimmers.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when used with any dimmer

Notes

The lamp remains very slightly illuminated even when dimmer is turned off, this would be less noticeable if more fittings were used per circuit. The problem was completely eradicated when a 100K mains rated resistor was placed in parallel with the fittings.
