Smoothness of Dimming

With trailing edge dimmers no static flicker was observed at any output level but some flicker was observed at the very bottom of the output range when tested with leading edge dimmers. All dimmers displayed some degree of shimmer while fading between levels. While the fitting dimmed to a decent minimum level when turned on the lamp does fire rather abruptly. The profile, in general, was good although grouped towards the bottom end of the dimmer output.

Audible Noise

No noise when tested with trailing edge dimmer, loud buzz when used with leading edge dimmers.

Notes

Very high peak currents were observed when tested with leading edge dimmers resulting in a particularly low recommended max number per circuit.
