Smoothness of Dimming

When used with trailing edge this ballast performed fairly well with variety of 700mA fittings. The lamp flickered gently but noticeably from around 15% of maximum output down. The dimming profile was continuous and linear with no real steps. When used with leading edge the lamp performed significantly less well. A variety of fittings all flickered violently when used below 30% of maximum output. The dimming profile was not very continuous with several large steps spaced throughout the

This driver was tested at 750mA only. While this lamp can be used with leading edge dimmers it is not advised especially where low light levels are required.
