Smoothness of Dimming

This lamp dims to less than one percent of maximum output with no flickering when used with trailing edge dimmers. No strobing was observed with any dimmer. The dimming profile did display some visible steps but these were not significant enough to spoil the overall performance with trailing edge. When tested with leading edge dimming the dimming profile was grouped heavily at the top end, all round visual performance was much less good than with trailing edge dimmers.

While the performance with the leading edge dimmer was acceptable, it is advised that the trailing edge dimmers are used with this lamp
