Smoothness of Dimming

With trailing edge dimmers this lamp performed very well: no static flicker or shimmer while fading could be seen at any output level. The profile was in general smooth but there is a large area of dead travel at the bottom the output range (lamp does not turn on until between 28-32% of dimmer output). This dead travel could be improved by using a custom profile.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when tested with any dimmer

Notes

These lamps cannot be recommended for use with leading edge dimmers, lamps flash and flicker intermittently at maximum output. If used with leading edge dimmers scenes should be set at 90% and below.
