Smoothness of Dimming

In general, this lamp performed well. No static flicker was observed at any output level when tested with trailing edge dimmers. With trailing edge dimmers, the lamp faded from off to max with no visible shimmer. The profile was smooth with a linear and proportional relationship between dimmer and light output. The only issues worthy of note occur as the lamp approaches maximum output. With trailing edge dimmers a flash or large step was observed and with leading edge dimmers the lamp flickered at maximum output. There was also a visible shimmer while fading between levels.
