Smoothness of Dimming

When tested with trailing edge dimmers this lamp performed well. The lamp did flicker when dimmed to the absolute minimum output but was fine from 3% of maximum output up. While fading between levels in the bottom third of the output range the lamp did appear to shimmer. At brighter levels than this the lamp dimmed smoothly. The dimming profile was in general smooth with dimmer output relating fairly linearly to light output.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when used with any dimmer.

Notes

Trailing edge dimming only, lamp does not turn off when used with leading edge. When used with an RMT500 it is strongly advised that a minimum load of 3 lamps is present. When tested with a single lamp attached to a RMT the lamp would stay on at a very low level when "off" is selected.
