Smoothness of Dimming

When tested with both leading and trailing edge dimmers no flicker was observed at any output level but some slight shimmer is noticeable while fading between levels. With all dimmers these lamps performed consistently with one another. With trailing edge dimmers the dimming profile was good in general with only a couple of slight steps, the relationship between light output and dimmer output was proportional and linear. Audible Noise

No audible noise when used with any dimmer

Notes

A rating of neutral is given to this lamp when used with leading edge dimmers because of the very large peak currents observed at some output levels. This is also why such a low maximum number of fittings is advised per module.
