Smoothness of Dimming

This driver performed notably better with the RAK4-T in comparison to both the RMT500 and RML500. There is a noticeable flash present at the minimum value on both RMT500 and RML500. When tested with all dimmers the tape shimmered noticeably while fading between levels, this problem was more noticeable with the RMT500 than with other dimmers. The dimming profile is extremely grouped towards the bottom end of the dimmer output.

Audible Noise

There is a minor buzzing when used with trailing edge dimmers with a far more noticeable buzzing when used with leading edge dimmers.

Notes

With leading edge dimmers this driver caused the tape to flash at minimum output. This problem is fixed by adding additional load to the circuit.
