Smoothness of Dimming

This lamp performed fairly well with all dimmers. No flicker was observed at any static output level but a shimmer while fading between levels was seen. This shimmer while fading was more noticable with the RML500 than with trailing edge dimmers. The profile, in general, was smooth and continuous. It was possible to make the lamps turn on inconsistently with one another when turned on at the minimum level.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when tested with any dimmer.

Notes

A rating of "good" can be only be given as this lamp only dims to around 8% of its maximum output. Aside from this the visual performancel is in the "good"-"very good" range.
