Smoothness of Dimming

No static flicker was observed at any output level. There was a noticeable shimmer while fading between levels, this problem was more noticeable with leading edge dimmers than with trailing edge dimmers. When tested with a single fitting there was a very noticeable step as the lamp approached maximum output. This step was not present when tested with a dummy load so it is likely that when more than one lamp is used this will not be a problem.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when tested.

Notes

No significant difference in dimming performance existed between the colour temperature settings.
