Smoothness of Dimming

RMT-500: This lamp performed very well. No flicker at a static level was observed. Dimming across the profile was smooth with some very faintly noticeable shimmer induced by slightly larger discrete steps in the driver output in a section of the mid to high duty cycle range of dimmer output. RML-500: The lamps performed adequately. No flicker at a static level was observed. Dimming across the profile was largely smooth, however some steps in the driver output were observed resulting in slight shimmer across the dimming range. Noticeably different brightness between individual lamps was observed at low duty cycle output. RAK4-T: Similar to the RMT-500 but more noticeable shimmer induced by larger discrete steps in the driver output. WMT-400: This lamp performed very well, no flickering at static levels was observed. No flicker at a static level was observed. Dimming across the profile was exceptionally smooth with a linear response to the eye between driver and dimmer output.

Audible Noise

No audible noise with trailing edge dimmers. Audible buzzing noise on Leading edge unit.
