Smoothness of Dimming
The main area of criticism of this LED is the inconsistency of turn on which is very noticeable, especially when only two LEDs are used. With more fittings attached the problem is less noticeable and can be mitigated to a decent degree by editing fade rates and profile. When tested with trailing edge dimmers no static flicker was observed and only a slight shimmer could be seen while fading at a low level. The profile was good with no significant areas of criticism. When tested with leading edge dimmers a noticeable flicker was observed when the lamp was dimmed to near its minimum level. The shimmer while fading was worse than when tested with leading edge dimmers and was visible throughout the output range.
Audible Noise
No audible noise when tested with any dimmer
Notes
The minimum brightness (off) value is taken as the minimum value at which all LEDs are illuminated.
