Smoothness of Dimming

With trailing edge dimmers this lamp and driver performed very well. No static flicker was observed at any output level. This lamp and driver combination did shimmer while fading as the lamp approached the minimum output. While the profile in general smooth a step or jump is visible as the lamp turns on.

Audible Noise

No audible noise when tested with any recommended dimmer.

Notes

Cannot be recommended for use with leading edge dimmers. When testing the lamp stayed on while the dimmer was in the off state. When used with trailing edge dimmers the waveform of this lamp and driver is very noisy with high peak currents.
