Smoothness of Dimming

When tested with trailing edge dimmers this lamp performed very well. There was no flicker when the lamp was on at any output level and no shimmer observed while fading between levels. The lamp does not activate until around 45% of dimmer output when the default profile is used. There are also some steps in the dimming profile visible when fading either up or down between off and maximum output. While noticeable these steps are not so stark as to cause a considerable problem.

Notes

Suitable for use with trailing edge dimmers only. Lamp does not turn off when used with leading edge. A high max number of fittings is given due to the very low peak current of these bulbs. However, as only one bulb was tested in each case it is not possible to comment on consistency of turn on/off etc.
